The Benefits of Lemons

24-Jul-2014

I love lemons. I always have, ever since I was little. I have always gone towards the more sour fruits than the sweet ones. When I was little, people would always tell me that eating lemons is not good and that I should not eat them anymore. Thank goodness I did not listen because lemons have so many health benefits. Now, I use lemons for everything, including my hair, skin, and general health.

Vegan Chocolate Cookies

22-Jul-2014

A few days ago I came across a vegan restaurant where I’d tasted the most delicious vegan chocolate cookies I’ve ever had. Naturally, I had to have the recipe and I looked for it everywhere since the chef refused to give it to me. He said he was protecting “the secret”. When I finally found it I couldn’t help but share it with the world, so here it is:

Worrying, Fear of Failure, and Humiliation

17-Jul-2014

Do you ever find yourself lying awake at night over-thinking and worrying about the future? Do you go over every detail of what may or may not happen? This can be absolutely exhausting. As much as we would all like to, we will never be able to predict the future; furthermore, we have no idea what a day will bring, or what an experience will be like.

The Amazing Benefits of Kefir!

16-Jul-2014

Kefir has been a part of my morning ritual for a couple of months now. It's literally the best decision I've made for my health! Make Your Days Extraordinary

15-Jul-2014

There are 365 days in a year. How many of these days are you productive? How many of these days are wasted on being lazy? I believe that each day of our lives is a gift and a chance to do something extraordinary and make the world a better place. So, how do we change a seemingly ordinary day to an extraordinary one? I believe we can accomplish this by paying close attention to the choices we make each day. Choices (even small ones, such as deciding what to wear or what to eat for breakfast) can have a positive or negative impact on your day. The morning is the perfect time to prepare yourself mentally, physically and spiritually for the rest of the day. The morning is the perfect time to get inspired, energized and ready.

Vegan Stuffed Peppers

14-Jul-2014

Bell Peppers - Bell peppers are first off low in calories. So, even if you eat one full cup of them, you get just about 45 calories. A good bonus is that one cup will give you more than your daily quota of Vitamin A and C. This powers up your immune system and keeps skin youthful. You can get the highest Vitamin C in the red bell pepper. The capsaicin in bell peppers has multiple health benefits. Studies show that it reduces ‘bad’ cholesterol, controls diabetes, brings relief from pain and eases inflammation. Also the sulfur content in bell peppers makes them play a protective role in certain types of cancers.
