What is your Star Sign?
A very proud Leo!

What makes you happy?
Sleeping in, being near the ocean, swimming IN the ocean, spending quality time with my loved ones.

What are your greatest indulgences?
Sleeping in, being near the ocean, swimming IN the ocean, spending quality time with loved ones. And also just having free time. I do like to indulge in holidays and go to health retreats by myself. It's always good to be alone and just check in with yourself and use the time wisely to replenish and recharge - physically, mentally and emotionally.

What inspires you?

This may sound a little corny but I do feel quite strong surges of inspiration when I sit and watch a sunrise or sunset and observe it's changes within it's cycle. There is something quite awesome about witnessing the beginning of or end to a day. In these moments I feel quite thankful that I have been given the chance to have another day on this planet and it inspires me to make the most of each day.

What is your philosophy on staying healthy?
Optimum health really does incorporate looking after your mind, body and soul. It is really hard to stay on top of all three but I think if you can achieve some basics everyday, then you should be able to maintain good health. This could include any or all of the following.

- Eating well ( and eating slowly, not inhaling your food) - lots of fresh produce, a good balance of fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, nuts and grains. And if you indulge in anything naughty, just try and do it in moderation.

- Try and take some time out to unwind - be it meditating, reading a book, listening to music, whatever makes you feel calm, relaxed and re-focused.

- Exercise whenever you can and try and do something that doesn't over strain the body and preferably something fun. Listen to your body - it will tell you what it does and doesn't like.

- A good night's sleep can go a long way, it's important to let your body rest and restore.

- And hydrate yourself - it's very beneficial if you can drink around 2 litres of water a day, which will help flush toxins from your body.

How old were you when you started modeling and what have you learnt about looking after yourself since then?
I started part time when I was in my final year of high school (17 yrs old) and full time the year after that. I have learnt so, so much. I think one of the main things was that I have developed quite a thick skin - the knock backs were plentiful in the beginning! You just have to learn to not take it as rejection and move on. Not to say I didn't get disappointed and that I still don't. You just learn how to cope with it better over time. I also learnt to listen to my gut or intuition and to persevere. There have been moments when I could have made different choices and gone against what my natural instincts were telling me. Instead I listened to them and I believe a lot of my bigger turning points in my career and more successful moments have come from listening to my intuition or instincts.

If you could go back and give advice to your younger self, what would you say?

" It won't be an easy road to get to where you're going, but you will get there in the end. Just have patience and trust but be wary of people who may try to take advantage of you. Learn Italian and French because you will need to know them both, take more photos when you start travelling and take the time to enjoy all your adventures as they will pass by very quickly and afterwards, it will seem like a blur. "

You travel a lot, what are some of your tips for staying on track when you are constantly travelling? Do you take any snacks on the plane with you?
Travel as lightly as possible (although I still haven't mastered that one!) but mainly on the plane. Especially if you're jumping on several flights, the last thing you need is to be lugging a heavy bag around! Try and drink a lot of water on the flight, 2-3 litres is ideal and stay away from alcohol when flying or limit it to one drink only. Sometimes I may take some nuts and dates on a flight to avoid snacking on anything unhealthy.

Where has been your favourite place you have travelled to?
Tahiti… Hands down. I went for work for what was meant to be a two week trip and ended up staying for a month. Being part polynesian I felt right at home on the islands. I wore a bikini 90% of the time, wore flowers in my hair and around my neck, ran around barefoot for most of the time too and swam in the ocean everyday. On a diet that consisted of mainly raw fish, coconut juice and fruit, I felt amazing by the time I left this place.

If we were to go over to your house for dinner, what would you cook for us? Do you have a go to meal?

I always check first if someone is allergic to anything or if they don't eat certain foods. So providing that they liked it, I would cook Salmon tails which I find to be the best part of the salmon. I would lightly cook it in a pan with a tiny amount of macadamia oil. Then I would place on a plate, a little bed of steamed brown rice, on top of that sliced avocado, then sliced cucumber, sliced mango and with the salmon fillet sitting on the very top of all the layers. Then I drizzle a little aged balsamic vinegar over the top and it's done. Very filling, healthy and super easy.

To relax after a long day of work, what do you like to do?

I'll usually do one, several or all of the following - listen to music, have a bath with epsom salts and lavender oil, light candles, cook something delicious and healthy then watch a favourite tv show.
